Financial Support
Donations enable us to conduct ongoing research and analysis of water quality in our streams and local aquifers, while also developing educational content to inform the public on how to protect these vital resources. They also support the preservation of habitats that not only purify and safeguard our water but also sustain our heritage flora and fauna.
You can contribute by sending a tax-deductible donation to:
Pootatuck Watershed Association
Box 3303
Newtown CT 06470
Please make checks payable to Pootatuck Watershed Association.
Be sure to include your full name, company or organization (if applicable), street address, city/state/zip code, and daytime phone number.
Volunteering Your Time & Skills
We welcome community members to join us in our ongoing efforts to ensure a healthy watershed for all of Newtown. Volunteers can help with water sampling, data management, habitat improvement projects, education, and outreach. For more information on how you can get involved, email us at info@pootatuckwatershed.org.
Maintain Your Piece Of The Watershed
Every landowner impacts our water supply and quality. How we use water and manage waste and synthetic materials on our property and landscape matters. To protect the water quality and supply it takes a whole educated and committed community. We all must do our part and encourage and educate others about what they need to do to support this effort, so our vital water resources continue to be available long into the future.
Student Involvement
The PWA welcomes students to undertake independent watershed study projects with us. For more information, please contact Rob Sibley, Director of Planning and Land Use in Newtown at (203) 270-4351 or by filling out the contact form here.
